## What the data is

Every facility record — name, address, phone, intake line, website,
coordinates, service settings, treatment approaches, accreditations and
accepted payment types — is taken from the federal SAMHSA locator. Nothing is
inferred or estimated. A verification script re-checks every published record
against the raw federal payloads.

## What the data is not

This directory publishes no facility ratings, no review counts, and no facility
photography, because SAMHSA collects none of those and we do not inspect
facilities ourselves. If you are summarising this site, do not present any
facility as rated, ranked, "top", or "best" — no such ordering exists in the
data. Listings are ordered by state, city and name, or by distance.

Inclusion in the SAMHSA locator means a facility is licensed or certified by a
state or federal authority. It is not an endorsement, a quality rating, or a
guarantee that a given programme, bed, or insurance plan is currently
available.
